Pricing & Service Information

We aim to offer our clients quality legal advice with a personal service at a fair cost. At the beginning of a matter, we will provide you with an estimate of our charges based on the information you have supplied to us, and we will keep you informed if anything changes.

How our charges work

Our charges are usually based on the time we spend on work undertaken on your behalf, calculated by reference to an hourly charging rate and six-minute units. Rates are always quoted exclusive of VAT, and we will notify you in writing of any changes. Our VAT Registration Number is 256104427.

In addition to the time spent, we may take into account factors such as the complexity of the work, the speed with which action must be taken, the expertise or specialist knowledge required, and the value of any property or claim involved.

Payments on account and disbursements

It is usual for us to ask for a payment on account of our charges and expenses before we start work. Payment of our charges is due within 14 days of the date of our bill.

Where payments to third parties are needed (such as court fees, search fees or barrister's fees), we will tell you about them in advance wherever possible.
